Ali Fakhir Ozer

Biography:

Prof. Dr. Ali Fahir Ozer graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Atatürk Üniversitesi Medical University (Erzurum) in 1976, after which the professor studied at the Medical University in the Department of Neurosurgery at Hacettepe University (Ankara) from 1977 to 1982. In 1988, Dr. Ali Fakhir received his professor’s degree in 1994. He was the Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at Kocaeli University from 1994 to 1995. From 1995 to today, the doctor has been working at the Department of Neurosurgery at Amerikan Hastanesi (Istanbul) and at the same time teaches at the Department of Neurosurgery at Koc University (Istanbul). Professor Ozer is a member of various associations including Eurospine and the North American Spine Society. He is also an advisory board member and reviewer for many scientific journals. He has authored over 200 articles and has written 24 book chapters, and he is also the editor of 7 books on neurosurgery and spinal surgery. He has also worked as an editor and reviewer for national and international journals. Dr. Ozer’s research focuses primarily on spinal biomechanics and dynamic spinal stabilization. He patented spine products used in spine surgery.
