Semra Kahraman

Biography

Professor Semra Kahraman is a specialist in reproductive medicine, head of the Center for IVF, Andrology and Genetics at Memorial Shishli Clinic.

Awards and achievements

2017 and 2018 – American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) awards;

2008 – Prize from the Turkish Society for Reproductive Medicine (TSRM).

Education

In 1994, Dr. Kahraman received the title of associate professor at the University of Ankara, in 2004 – the title of professor at the Yeditepe University Hospital (Istanbul).

1973-1981 – studied at the medical school at the Hacettepe University in Ankara.

Professional experience

From 2000 to the present – Head of the Department of Reproductive Genetics at Memorial.

1993-2000 worked at Sevgi Hospital in Ankara, Turkey.

1996-1997 Dr. Kahraman practiced at the Institute of Reproductive Genetics (Chicago, USA), Center for Reproductive Medicine at Cornell University (New York, USA), Fertility Management Foundation (Vilvoorde, Belgium).

1991-1992 – Department of Reproductive Medicine, Haugesund Hospital, Norway.

Scientific activity

Semra Kahraman is the author of books, 103 international and 97 national publications in magazines. She has spoken at 89 international meetings and 103 national meetings.
