Volkan Tuju

Biography

Volkan Tucu is a professor, urologist at Memorial Bahçelievler clinic in Turkey. The doctor specializes in performing prostatectomy (removal of the prostate gland) on a Da Vinci robot, performs robotic kidney transplantation.

Professor Tuju has developed a new method of robotic surgery – “Tugcu Bakirkoy Technique”. When removing prostate tumors, it avoids bowel trauma and bleeding that can occur during open surgery. The patient recovers quickly and does not experience severe postoperative pain.

2018 – the best video at the International Symposium on Robotic Surgery and New Technologies in the Treatment of Prostate Cancer.

Dr. Tuju is the author of over 100 papers presented at international and national congresses. His medical articles are published in scientific journals.

Professor Tucu has trained 80 Turkish and foreign urologists in robotic and laparoscopic surgery techniques.
